Stay in the loop

Whether you're a new or long-time resident, we want to make sure you're informed and engaged. Create an account on MyInnisfil, our resident dashboard, to:

  • Get customized notifications about municipal updates and services
  • Sign up for programs and activities
  • See facilities, recreational amenities and events near you

Parking and resident passes

We provide resident parking passes to give residents free access to certain parking lots in the community, such as Innisfil Beach Park. You can pick up your pass with proof of residency at Town Hall or Innisfil ideaLAB & Library branches during operating hours.

From November 1 to May 1, overnight parking between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. is prohibited on Innisfil roads. This helps make sure that our plow trucks can quickly and safely clear snow from the streets.

Waste collection

The County of Simcoe provides waste collection services for the Town of Innisfil, including garbage and recycling collection every two weeks (on alternating weeks) and organics collection weekly.

Contact Service Simcoe at 1-800-263-3199 or info@simcoe.ca to get new waste collection carts delivered to your household. If you are renting, please have your landlord or property manager contact Service Simcoe on your behalf.

Setting out your carts

Follow these guidelines when setting out your carts to ensure your waste is collected:

  • Have your materials at the road or curb by 7 a.m. of your collection day
  • Place carts on a level surface within eight feet of the travelled portion of the road, avoiding low hanging branches​
  • Remember the "Rule of 2": Set out carts two feet apart, with two feet between your cart and any other objects
  • Point the arrows on the carts towards the street and handles towards your house​
  • Do not over-stuff carts, fill loosely, ensure lid is fully closed​
  • Do not use bungee cords or other items to keep the cart lids closed

Landfills and transfer stations

​​​​​​The County of Simcoe's waste facilities are open to County of Simcoe residents only, which includes Innisfil. The nearest landfill to Innisfil is the West Gwillimbury Waste Facility and Household Hazardous Waste Depot.

Healthcare

The Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre offers a variety of healthcare services close to home. The building is located at 7325 Yonge St. in the Town of Innisfil. The closest hospital in Barrie is Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, located in the north end of the city.

Looking for a doctor?

The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has a program called Health Care Connect that refers Ontario residents who don’t have a physician to a family healthcare provider who may be accepting new patients.
Schools

Schools in Barrie are serviced by either the Simcoe County District School Board or the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic School Board. Visit their websites for student registration information.
