Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil’s annual “Scrooge the Ticket” campaign successfully turned parking tickets into donations this year. The campaign collected $3,710 in cash donations and $145.61 in food/toy donations. A grand total of $3,855.61 will support the Innisfil Food Bank, an outreach program of the Innisfil Community Church.

“Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Scrooge the Ticket campaign and to our By-law Officers for making it happen,” said Mayor Lynn Dollin. “It warms my heart to see the community come together to support one another. Your generosity will have a big impact on local families this holiday season.”

The Scrooge the Ticket campaign invited every person who received a parking ticket in the Town of Innisfil between Nov. 15 -29, 2021 to pay the fine amount by donating an equal or greater value instead.
Over the past seven years, the campaign has raised over $22,000 in cash donations, new toys and non-perishable food items to support the local community.
